Deflecting Negativity in a Single Bound

The only goals we never meet are the ones we put no effort in pursuing.

We have the ability to change our lives with the changing of our mindset. Words and thoughts hold power and we have the power to self-sabotage our happiness, when we put unhealthy vibrations in the universe.

Sometimes we manifest failure, through self-doubt and negative self-talk.

Block negative thoughts

These thoughts cause us to put forth less effort and without full effort, goals and relationships become burdensome and disintegrate.

When we want success we have to think successfully. Affirm that what you want, is what you will have. Claim it as truth and being present already.

Energy is movement so when you focus your thoughts on positive things the universe works to place those things in motion for your good, but you do have to work towards them. Words without actions are dead.

Also, it helps to make your goals visible, this is one reason why vision boards are so powerful. They are reminders that our goals are tangible and obtainable. A visual cue of where you need to focus your time and energy.

Visualize your goals and dreams

Remember, goals can be revised, as we reach new levels in self-awareness, our goals and aspirations may change.

You are your only boundary and parameter. The only limits on your life are the ones you set.

So, let your dreams be boundless. Speak and claim positivity and abundance in and on your life. Invest in and sponsor your dreams.

Voice your victories and speak prosperity into your life. You have the power to live your best life. No more fear, no more doubts, no more excuses.

Go ahead and live your best life.

You can do it. You have the power!

Season for Growth

Today is the first day of spring, and the perfect day for change and growth.

With all things being new and reborn, so to speak, why not change your mindset. Let go of all the dead things in your life: dead ends, dead relationships, dead thoughts. All the things that detract from your life and your energy.

That’s right cut off anyone that doesn’t add value or positivity to your life, even if that means cutting off family and loved ones. We have to stop allowing toxicity to exist in our lives just because the toxic person is “family.” You don’t have to allow anyone in your life that makes your life miserable or uncomfortable to the point it hinders you from living.

Now that’s not to say, you cut off the well-meaning people trying to offer constructive criticism and you are just not in a receptive frame of mind.

The idea is born and then executed. Growth, starts from the inside out. You have to do some serious self-reflection to realize what changes need to occur and then accept those truths and work to turn them into actual manifestations.

It’s ok to reinvent yourself too. If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. Each day you are blessed with time and opportunity, use them to improve your life and live your best life. Don’t be afraid of the unknown. A caterpillar enters a cocoon as one thing and emerges as something else, beautiful, yet altogether different.

Remember, where there are no boundaries there are no limits. This applies in a variety of ways, people in your life need boundaries, so that they don’t overstep their purpose in your life. People can only do what you allow, don’t give power of your life over to the control of others. On the other hand, the only limits on your life are the ones you place on yourself, so don’t allow your thoughts to sabotage what you are able to accomplish in life. Your thoughts are powerful, so make them work for you not against you. Use self-affirming words in and over your life and watch the changes that take place.

I am claiming greatness for myself and all those reading these words. Let’s grow in our greatness. Go forth and be the best version of you possible!

Fighting to Matter

To be black and live in America is to live through trauma.

Black lives do not matter. Animals and walls get more respect and consideration than black people do.

People are murdered in their homes and yet they are made to be villains.
Even in their deaths the world tries hard to turn the tables so even sympathy is not given.

Oppression makes a wise man mad. And continually perpetuating trauma makes a person numb.

But
life goes on and we keep pushing because our souls weren’t created to quit.

Some of us march, some pray, others protests, rebel and raise holy hell and no one can say any of them are wrong.

Because collectively we are grieving and enraged all at the same time; we have lost so many and each death effected us, even if only subconsciously.

Every death by the hands of the police has you questioning your safety during what should be a routine traffic stop.

Have you reconsidering mentioning the police as someone a child can turn to and be safe with in times of trouble.

Parents have had to change the narrative of their coming of age stories especially with their black male children to include how to live through an interaction with the police.

It’s crazy to have to explain that typically black people are seen as guilty until proven innocent and even then they are sometimes still punished.

Society might have removed the chains, but they’ve held fast to the cruelties and tenets of slavery.

Yet somehow we still make strides and make moves because our souls weren’t created to quit.

With tear stained faces and red rimmed eyes we still stand tall with our fists held high.

Burdened by the struggle to be recognized as human, worthy of life, deserving of justice.
Fighting to matter.

Misery loves company

Don’t let others project their misery onto you.

People that can not control you physically will attempt to manipulate you emotionally and mentally. Happiness is an inside job, don’t be fooled by outside forces.

No one can control the actions of others, but you are always in control of your reaction and response to them.

People will try to bury you in chaos, don’t suffer in the dirt, grow from it and flourish.

Sometimes the best response is silence and the best revenge is success by way of inner peace and happiness.

Misery loves company, so don’t answer the door if it comes knocking!

More Powerful than you Know

Sometimes it’s hard to inspire when you feel as if you’re floundering at life and your pockets are not filling fast enough.

But then again, those moments of uncertainty that turn out alright are what leads to inspiring moments and testimonies.

It’s easy to give up. To say, well it must not be my time since dreams aren’t aligning with finances.

Finances, or shall I say, the lack thereof, is a major stressor. Businesses and marriages have come to destruction over it.

But we can’t lose sight that sometimes riches aren’t monetary and sometimes blessings can’t be measured.

Peace of mind and joy of heart are priceless. Doing something that fulfills you is invaluable to your self-worth, and shouldn’t be quantified on the basis of a dollar.

That budget is meant to discipline you not confine or define your limits.

Sometimes you have to acknowledge that what you want is surpassing what you need.

We have to place things in perspective and understand that sometimes the only thing standing in your way of pursuing your dreams is being greedy for gain and forgetting to be thankful for more than enough.

Sometimes we have to be reminded that your dreams may be the life saving force someone else has been waiting for.

That book, that business, that apparel line may be the boost someone needs to be reminded that they too can realize their dreams.

That it’s never too late to pursue your purpose.

Don’t give up, you’re richer than you realize and more powerful than you know!

Reset your Mindset

The mind is a powerful tool and can also said it’s a powerful trap. It can have you believing in things that are just not true. For example generational curses, are not curses, rather it’s the failure of people within a family to step outside of a particular mindset and obtain a different result.
The reality of it is that when someone chooses to have a different mindset or take a different perspective then you get different results. For example, some families feel poverty is a generational curse. And it can be if all you see for yourself is what has been and not what can be. We can’t change the circumstances we are born into, we can’t change our DNA, but your genes do not determine your future in regard to your capacity to achieve greatness. Your mind state does.

Some people like to be victims of circumstance because when you are a victim, most of the time you are deemed powerless and people sympathize with your plight. Being a victim relieves some people of the responsibility they have to ensure they take the actions to be the change they want to see in their lives. Once you become an adult if you choose not to be great it’s no longer the fault of the missing father or the drug addicted mother, no, that blame lies with and on you. Everyone alive has the same 24 hours in a day, the difference is what you do with it. Will you use your hurdles as stumbling blocks or building blocks?

When we encounter adversity do, we automatically feel overwhelmed and defeated or do we look at how going through this trial will enable us to grow and strengthen our resolve and outlook? There is more than one route to get to any destination, but sometimes you can’t travel the easiest route. No, sometimes you have to be willing to crawl on your belly through the brush and get tangled in a few weeds and even push through the mud, muck and mire in order to reach that end result or desired destination. It doesn’t matter what dirt you had to go through in order to be victorious in the end.

Keep your eye focused on your goal and cut off people that prohibit you from reaching it by weighing you down. Not everyone else will understand or support your need to be and live differently. People will say you think you’re better, and you know what you just might be, not in an arrogant way, but in a way that it’s ok to want the best for yourself and those you love. No one should ever make you feel bad for not settling for being mediocre. When your FATHER is the Creator of all things who is man to tell you to limit yourself or your dreams.

Keep pushing and cast aside those mental habits that chain you to toxic, stagnating ideals and dead-end life styles.

Break those mental chains that bind and confine you. Free your mind and improve your life!
